What spices go with spaghetti?

I'm a 17-year-old boy, and I've been dabbling with cooking. My prime triumph is spaghetti, and I've been wanting to add other spices to it. So far I've only been using garlic powder, (real original, right?) and I've been wondering, what spices go well with spaghetti? Right now I'm trying thyme leaves and I'm about to see how this works out. If I could get an answer quick, I'd appreciate it.
