Did you ever say completely the wrong thing at the wrong time ?

Yes, too many times, once I went of on this big long tirade to my elderly neighbor about how badly some of the repairs had been done in my house only to learn later that it was her husband who had made many of those same repairs....wooops. She was wise enough to put it down to my youthful exuberance and we became firm friends.
