Can someone answer this please ?? Its driving me crazy..Men whats ur outlook?

Please tell me your opinions..Ok me and my ex have been split for 4 months now after 3 years, he seems to call 1 time out the month now for one thing or another, though im really confused. I am 26 he is 29. He claims he no longer wants to be with me and we are not compatible etc etc.. though why cant he let it gooo. It took me forever weeks , months to get this far n he was the one who wanted it this way, he asked me to please move on.so im trying.. my bday was last week and he texes me (who texes happy belated?? be a man grow ) happy belated birthday and sayin how he's a piece of **** n for me to enjoy the bday n many more?? why is this man doing this? Does he really want it over? I am tryin to move forth yet I cant.. Do i tex him thank you, and wish him well to? He texed me 5 days after my bday?? wtf? thats kinda rude
